澪標（みをつくし）

難おおき波を越えてゆく
君の船に加護多からんことを

岐路に立たされ迷える時も
馨（かぐわ）しき花もて澪標とならんことを

いつか港に還りゆくその日まで
君の行く手に星のあまた輝かんことを

Marker in the tide (Miwotsukushi)

Beyond the hard and towering waves you go
may your vessel sail in blessing

When you stand at a crossroads, lost and unsure,
may fragrant blossoms become your marker in the tide.

Until the day you return at last to harbor,
may countless stars shine upon your course.
